چکیده
Background. The need to find new effective treatments for chronic pain today is beyond doubt. Pain resistant nonsteroidal analgesics and gabapentin stimulates the introduction of invasive pain. Materials methods. efficacy combination diclofenac with epidural administration dexamethasone 8 mg neurolysis 30% ethyl alcohol in 1% lidocaine solution was compared. Results. gabapentin, as well use glucocorticoids, has not shown sufficient efficacy. After a long-term assessment on visual analog scale at level 3.5 points, which corresponded results one-time neurolysis. At 2 injections neurolytic mixture or more, score lower by 1.5 points compared glucocorticoid administration. 3rd stage neurolysis, lack correct vertebral accompanied reliable absence conversions other methods analgesia. Conclusions. safety three-time allow recommending this procedure patients vertebrogenic pain, especially case low poor tolerability analgesics.

Evidence-Based Invasive Treatment of Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain
Diagnostic Procedures Nerve blocks are the most common type of invasive diagnostic procedure. Their rationale is simple: if a certain anatomical structure is the source of pain, then anesthetizing its nerve supply should temporarily relieve the pain. Face and construct validity have been demonstrated for blocks of the nerves that supply the zygapophysial (facet) joints of the cervical and lumba...

BACKGROUND The use of percutaneous vertebroplasty (PV) to treat osteoporotic vertebral fractures is increasing. This investigation assesses the efficacy and safety of PV for refractory pain owing to osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. METHODS A retrospective investigation of PV was conducted with a minimal of 1 year follow up. PV with polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) was performed on 7...

Neurosurgery is not a first-choice treatment for chronic pain. It is indicated when chronic pain is insufficiently relieved by analgesics, or when medication is effective but causes unacceptable side effects. Neurosurgical procedures may be ablative or augmentative (stimulating). An ablative procedure interrupts pain pathways at one of various levels in the central nervous system (CNS). In cont...
